Charter quote checklist
Choose your charter with a clear picture of what is included. Read the quote around the trip you want, from meals and service to the time you will spend on the water.
You do not need to have chosen a yacht to begin.
Check the named yacht, your dates and route, the number of guests and whether the rate covers an hour, a day or a week. Then check the currency, minimum charter length and tax treatment. A quote for a different duration or group is not a like-for-like comparison.
Ask for each inclusion and extra to be written down. A cost may be a fixed charge, an estimate or an amount charged according to use. Check what the quote assumes about these parts of your trip:
Some charters collect an advance provisioning allowance, or APA, to cover running costs such as fuel, food, drinks and berths. Ask which costs it covers, how spending is recorded, whether further funds could be needed and how any unused balance is returned. An allowance is different from a fixed all-inclusive price.
Read the payment schedule, cancellation terms and weather arrangements alongside the full cost. Have your cabin needs, dietary requirements and special requests included where they affect the quote. Availability, the final cost and booking terms are confirmed for your chosen trip.
