Charter costs
The charter rate is the starting point, not the finish line. We explain what moves the cost of a crewed charter so you can compare yachts on the same basis, and know exactly what you are paying for.

Before comparing anything, make sure you're looking at the same kind of charter. Line up the currency, the length of the charter, the destination, the season, the number of guests, the overnight capacity, the tax treatment and what's included. A harbour day and an island week aren't competing products, so compare each on its own terms.
A yacht can publish a rate for a season and still be booked on your preferred dates. We confirm availability for your exact dates. Seasonal pricing is the starting point, not a live calendar.
Every crewed charter is quoted on a basis: by the hour, the day or the week, in one currency, with tax and running costs either inside the figure or added on top. Knowing the basis is the right place to start, and it is not a quote for your trip.
Treat it as the direction of travel rather than the answer. Two yachts can look close on the headline figure and land far apart once the food, fuel, berths and tax for your dates are added.
A crewed charter is quoted as a single number, and that number is built from parts. These are the ones that change most between yachts, routes and weeks, and the ones worth asking about before you compare.
The charter rate normally covers the yacht and its crew. Almost everything else depends on the yacht, the route and your plans, so ask for the inclusions list in writing before you compare. Some charters also collect an advance provisioning allowance, or APA, for running costs during the trip. Ask how it works, what it covers and what happens to any balance.
Two yachts that look similar on the headline figure can be quoted very differently once the details are filled in. One may include tax but need a delivery charge. The other may exclude catering but include fuel. Ask the same questions of every yacht and set the answers side by side, and the comparison becomes real.
Before anything is committed, bring every cost together: the rate, tax, running costs, your dates and what's included. Our charter partner confirms it all in writing so you know exactly what you're signing up for.
